Resin art woes

You gather your inclusions. Ensure your resin is at the proper mixing temperatures. You sit down with all of your protective gear on and begin to mix.

The pour is perfect. Inclusions stayed exactly where you placed them and no bubbles. You feel there’s been plenty of set time so you step away.

Time to unveil the masterpiece! OH NO!!! Uncovered is a bubble filled item that may or may not have had a partial flash cure, but for certain items have moved and are no longer in place! Now what!?!

To me, this medium is an ever learning, always challenging form of art. When making the decision to sell or scrap I look over it all and determine if the bubbles are too big and interrupt the product form/function. If not then the piece is still worth the sale.

In my sales I list my pieces as one of a kind. I would never be able to replicate an item the same, even when pouring multiple items of the same design at once although that is the closest to same as I can get). While I am the hardest critic of my work I have made sure to incorporate the imperfections and embrace them in my art. At the end of this all that is what makes art unique.
